ROCKHILL ORTHOPAEDICS

Rockhill Rheumatology

Rockhill Rheumatology has two physicians who are specialists in the diagnosis of medical management of arthrits, osteoporosis, and connective tissue diseases, as well as non-surgical musculoskeletal problems. Rheumatology is a subspeciality of internal medicine and as such, compliments the care given by our orthopaedic surgeons and physiatrists. joint and muscle pain may need comprehensive work-up, including laboratory tests, x-rays, and physician evaluation, in order to achieve optimal understanding of each patient's problems. This evaluation allows our physicians to recommend the best treatment plan for each individual. Both of our rheumatologists are Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Rheumatology.

Common reasons for referral:

  • All types of arthritis - rheumatoid, osteoarthritis, etc.
  • Osteoporosis
  • Connective tissue disorders such as Lupus, Sjogrens, and Scleroderma
  • Raynaud's
  • Fibromyalgia
  • Gout
  • Vasculitis
  • Polymyalgia Rheumatica (PMR)
  • Dexa-Scanning (Bone Densitometry) is available for osteoporosis evaluation and treatment.
