  • Lymphatic damage and fluid stasis also leads to scar tissue/fibrosis development with collagen and fibrin deposition to vessel walls, therefore further blocking lymph flow

  • Fluid stasis increases susceptibility to infection with cycle initiated for further lymphatic damage
